Expand your interpretation capabilities
with our new exhibit technology that combines
high resolution digital terrain models with high
end technology. The technology is designed for
parks, museums, and science centers to aid in
interpreation of complex geologic and ecologic
information and concepts and is scaleable to any
size.
Exhibits are currently installed and running at the Arizona Science Center, Grand Canyon Assoication Canyon View Information Plaza, San Joaquin River Gorge, and Exploratorium. The exhibits are a collaboration between Four Chambers Studio and Dan Collins (Wilco) Tempe, AZ.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What are the maintenance costs for a typical exhibit? A. The main maintenance cost for the system is replacement of the projector bulb. A typically bulb lasts about 10-14 months and costs about $350-450.
Q. How much does a system cost? A. Costs depend on the equipment selected for your application, size of the terrain model, and the scope of the content you want to present. For a basic system, costs can start at about $35,000 - $40,000 fully installed.
Q. How large can the terrain model be? A. Models can be produced as small as 2' x 3' and as large as 16' x 16'. Larger models are also possible.
Q. How often can the exhibits be updated and can I update them myself? A. Exhibits can be updated easily at any time without interruption. Yes, you can update them yourself for simple changes such as adding a new map. For more complicated changes, we can update the system remotely or send you an update on DVD.
Q. What material is the model made of and how durable is it? A. The original model is milled out of high density foam. From the original a fiberglass or FGR model is created which is extremely durable, washable, and paintable.
Q. Do you have to use a mouse? A. You can use a mouse, a trackball, or touchscreen. In some cases, we also use an optional pen and infrared light that allows you point and touch on the model to move the mouse.
